In 2019, a selection of 30 paintings by Fadjar Djunaedi made their international debut in Xiamen, China. Surrounded by the busy traffic and giant buildings of Zhong Shan Lu, the "Girl and Boy" series as well as a collection of Djunaedis nature-series allowed visitors to immerse into the worlds of Djunaedi's expressive figures. His characters explore a palette of emotions, from innocence to ignorance. Assembled in pairs, the "Girl and Boy" series hung freely above the skies of Xiamen, dancing back and forth whenever a breeze came by. Djunaedi's bigger pieces were presented throughout the Big Lion Coffeeshop.

Indonesian artist Fadjar Djunaedi, born in 1970, graduated from IKIP Malang and has participated in several group and solo exhibitions since 1988. Today, he works and lives in his Batu studio "Omah Sawah".
